Positive Degree (Tingkat Sama)

Comparative Degree (Tingkat Lebih)
One or two syllables
  • S + Tobe/Verb + Adj/Adv + er +than + O
Three or more syllables
  • S + Tobe/Verb + more + Adj/Adv +than + O
Superlative Degree
One or two syllables
  • S +Tobe/Verb + the + Adj/Adv + est + O
Three or more syllables

Exception :

  • Some and any is use on uncountable noun (Sedikit)

Invitation Card
  • Function: used to invite someone to attend the event, likes: Birthday party, etc.
  • An invitation card should give information about :
  • Thename of the event
  • The time of the event
  • The place of the event
  • Additional information (dress code, RSVP)
Postcard
  •  Function : A card that can be send in the post without an envelope, especially with a picture on it , it is used for sending a short message•    Opening (Greeting/Salutation)
  •  Body (The Message)
  •  Pre-closing (Before Closing)
  •  Closing (Penutup)

Recount
  •  Function : To tell the reader what happened in the past through a sequence of events
  • The different forms of recount, e.g. :
  • A personal recount talks about what was happening to the person writing the recount
  • An objective recount the writer talks about was happening to other people
  • An imaginative recount that tells an imaginary event
  • Types of Recount Text :

  • Orientation/Setting
  • Tell the who, when, and where
  • Example : I went to Bali with my friend last week
  • Sequence of events/Series of events
  • The event of the recount are presented in chronological order and the writer may comment on any of the events
  • Example: On the first we went to Sanur beach…………
  • Re – orientation/Conclusion
  • This closing comment is where the writer provides an opinion on what happened in the incident
  • Example: It was tiring but really joyful…………….
